2. General information and SSL/TLS encryption

This privacy policy informs you in accordance with Art. 13 and Art. 14 GDPR about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data on this website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified or are identifiable (cf. Art. 4 no. 1 GDPR).

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address bar starting with “https://” and a lock symbol being displayed. When SSL/TLS encryption is active, data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

When this website is accessed, connection data is processed for technical reasons, including your IP address (cf. CJEU, C-582/14).

Purpose: provision and technical operation of this website.

Data processed: with every page view, the hosting provider automatically collects connection data (server log files):

• IP address of the requesting device
• Date and time of access
• URL accessed
• Amount of data transferred

• Operating system of the requesting device
• Referrer URL

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and error-free provision of the website).

Storage period: server log files are generally deleted automatically after 7 days at the latest.

Processing agreement: a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place.

5. Cookies, comparable technologies and external services

This website only provides technically necessary functions. Pursuant to § 25 (2) TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, no consent is required for reading or storing technically necessary information. No tracking, analytics or marketing cookies requiring consent are used. A cookie banner is therefore not necessary.

Google Fonts (external hosting): this site uses Google Fonts, provided by Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), for a consistent display of typefaces. When a page is loaded, your browser downloads the required fonts into its cache. Your IP address is transmitted to Google's servers in the process.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in an appealing and consistent presentation of our online offering).

6. Contacting us (email, contact form & WhatsApp)

Contact by email or contact form: if you send us enquiries by email or via a contact form, your details will be stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions.

Data processed: email address, name, content of the message and any briefing data provided. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or performance of a contract) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing enquiries).

Contact via WhatsApp: this website includes a link for contacting us via the messenger service WhatsApp. The provider is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. If you click the WhatsApp link and send us a message, we process your phone number and the message content you transmit.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent) or Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). Third-country transfer: data may be transferred to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA (certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

7. Storage periods

• Server log files: deleted after 7 days at the latest.
• Contact data (email, WhatsApp, form): stored until your enquiry has been fully processed or until statutory tax and commercial retention periods expire (6 to 10 years).
